The team of Hannah, Morgan, and Michael who were recognized on stage at NLC for being top 10 finalists in their event finished 5th place overall with a gold medal.
Their event was Sustainability Challenge and their project was to collect 1,000 pounds of plastic films for recycling and to educate school groups about sustainability practices. After meeting their goal, they received a park bench from NexTrex for the park in Elmwood, NE.
Congratulations to Charles on his Silver Medal finish at the National FCCLA Conference. His event was Promote and Publicize FCCLA and increased the knowledge of the school and community through outreach efforts and advertisement.
Quinn Ross received a Silver Medal in the area of Nutrition and Wellness. She recorded information on her own life habits and researched ways to increase her nutrition and establish better habits for her own wellness and that of her family.

2024 District 1 STAR Competition - Peru State College, NE
Congratulations to the FCCLA members who presented their STAR projects at the District 1 STAR competition at Peru State College. They will all be moving on to competition at the state level in April. Quinn Ross, silver; Charles Cawley, silver; Harrison Koehn, silver; and the team of Hannah Peterse, Morgan Gray, and Michael Hynes, gold. Thanks to our District Officer, Brody Marsh, for assisting with the competition. It was a great day to be a Knight!
